Amendoeira Golf Resort (Faldo Course)

Designed by Sir. Nick Faldo with a strategic game in mind, this golf course, measuring 6578m PAR 72, requires careful positioning in order to obtain good results. “The terrain of the Amendoeira Golf Resort is impressive and the project has the potential to be a true point of interest in the Algarve, which with so many golf courses in the region, is no easy task” - pointed out Nick Faldo, during a visit in 2007.

Adding a modern touch to a traditional recipe, cacti, and wild herbs replace the role of Sunningdale heather, holm oaks, and ancient olive trees replace a lush English woodland, and the sandy Berkshire lands are replaced by areas of limestone rock, in a golf course that based on the classic principles of the strategic game.
