Stanmore Golf Club

We are very proud of our golf course, which we believe to be the most picturesque and enjoyable to play in the area. The course plays to 6,025 yards as a par 69 and provides a good test of golf for players of all abilities.

The tree-lined fairways make accuracy from the tee important. We have two par 5's, five tricky par 3's with the remaining par 4's of varying lengths. Each hole has a character of it's own and the course offers spectacular views of the surrounding area.

Stanmore is not a particularly long course, but is quite narrow and will test your ability to hit straight off the tee. Big trees and thick bushes are waiting everywhere ready to penalise errant shots. Several dog-legs allow the really proficient golfer the chance to showcase their abilities, with the opportunity to shape shots both ways throughout the round.

On most holes it is better to be short than long because invariably a great deal of trouble awaits behind the greens. Having hit the green, you will find the putting surfaces fast and true and in exceptional condition.
