Billed as a “New Day, New Dawn, New Beginning”, the new front 9 holes layout plays out to the South China Sea, with the unique sea views on holes 2 to 4. The golf course then turns back inland, wrapping around the tranquil lagoons of holes 6 to 8, before finally challenging golfers with a winding steep uphill 9th hole par 4 played towards the clubhouse.
Holes 10 to 15 play through dense jungle and the unique rock formations. The highlight of the golf course is still yet to come, as the long par 4, hole 16, once again plays through the jungle towards the South China Sea. Arriving at the penultimate hole 17, which many will class as the “signature hole”, golfers are challenged to play directly over the spectacular natural rock formations, from a tee perched directly over the sea. Hole 18 turns back towards the clubhouse with golfers again teeing off from within a few meters of the high tide line, then playing up towards the clubhouse with a green guarded on both sides with mature trees.
