Throughout the gently undulating course, which affords scenic vistas of the park from every hole, Members will be confronted by a wide variety of interesting and challenging playing conditions. The course, designed by acclaimed Australian-based architect Graham Marsh, provides two distinctive "nines" starting and finishing at the clubhouse. The architect, whose pedigree includes such courses as "The Vines Resort" in Perth and "Terry Hills" in Sydney Australia as well as "Staffield Country Resort"; Malaysia has made every effort to combine the site's natural features with his design in order to produce a golf course to rival the best on South East Asia. "I am try excited about our role at Gading Raya Padang Golf & Klub. We have utilized the site's existing lake system by linking it up with a network of rock lined creeks to add further strategy and dynamics to the course. Although just under 7,000 yard from championship markers, the use of multiple tees, together with strategic placement of hazards and golf hole alignment will, I believe, provide a great source of fun and challenge for all, " commented Graham Marsh on his firm's latest golfing masterpiece. "The topography of the site allows for numerous outstanding holes of golf. The final hole of each nine are just that, finishing in full view of the clubhouse with the two greens being separated by water. Playing slightly uphill, both will prove demanding and be a stern test of one's golfing ability, amateur or professional," he adds. To complement Graham Marsh's superb golf course design the Owners have incorporated provincial architectural themes for each the golf course shelters. This touch will create a truly unique identity for Gading Raya.
