Strandhill Golf Club

Strandhill Golf Club was founded in 1931 as a nine-hole golf course and the present 18-hole course was opened in 1973. Strandhill is an exciting links course where golfers are guaranteed truly spectacular vistas of the Atlantic coastline. The mesmerizing views of Knocknarea Mountain and Ballisodare Bay further enhance the beauty of this wonderful place. The towering sand dunes adorning this delightful landscape make playing golf here immensely pleasurable and entertaining.

The sheer beauty and splendour of Strandhill Golf Club led to Christy O' Connor Junior calling the golf course “the hidden jewel of the West”.
The par 70 golf course offers eighteen exhilarating holes for the golfers to tackle. The challenge offered is quite unique thanks to undulating fairways and greens protected by mounds and dunes. Accuracy will be rewarded and wayward shots punished severely.
