Barbados Golf Club, located at Durants in the southern parish of Christ Church, has become the soul of golfing in Barbados for local players as well as hotel guests and visitors cruising through the Caribbean. The course was approved and sanctioned by the PGA European Tour to host a PGA Seniors Tournament in 2003 and it has also hosted the Barbados Open on several occasions.

The golf course was reopened in 2000 after a period of reconstruction to the environmentally sensitive design specifications of Ron Kirby, one of the most respected and experienced golf course architects in the world. He redesigned the course to produce a fair, challenging, and pleasurable game for golfers of all levels of skill and competence.

The challenges, rewards, and scenic views of the course encourage players of all abilities to play with determination to hone their skills while enjoying the company of friends amidst tropical surroundings.

My first time playing this course and felt very welcomed by staff on arrival. There was no time wasted getting me joined up with other players as I was on my own which made the day even better. I really enjoyed the course and thought it was well kept and in great condition. I hadn’t intended to play golf on my vacation hence having to use rental clubs which the condition of a few in the bag were pretty tired with poor grips so that would be my only down side of my experience.

I love playing at Barbadoes golf club when I travel to the island but I have two issues 1. Pace of play the last time I played at the course the play was so slow as groups ahead caused long delays. 2. Lack of range balls on driving range, I always have to wait due to no balls available in the range feeder. Overall nice club and will be back as Barbadoes GC and Sandy Lane are my favorite spots to golf.

I payed for 2 persons , and my wife being sick could not come. At the reception, they told me that they sent tou a mail to refund half of the amount but nothing happend. I am waiting for a refund , I payed 274€ for 9 holes. Bernard Thomaes 0032486432353

We enjoyed the course very much Issue we had was the young lady on reception was not welcoming and told us we had not paid for the club hire in a very arrogant way We had to prove it with our golf scape receipt and she did not apologise Also the flies in the bar are terrible we had to change our beer twice Apart from that the hired golf clubs and cart was good and the greens were in fantastic condition

We enjoyed it so much - we played it 3 times. Booked online. Greens in very good condition, the fairways were a little dried out. A very relaxed vibe, very good for the price. Met and played with some lovely people. Pace of play was good. 4 to 4 hours 15 minutes for 18 holes. Other courses on the island that were public, looked gorgeous, but were twice to three times the price of Barbados Golf club. I recommend it for the value.

Rentals just a random set of mismatched spanners. Bunkers mostly dirt and weeds. Need a face-lift and TLC
