Barbados Golf Club, located at Durants in the southern parish of Christ Church, has become the soul of golfing in Barbados for local players as well as hotel guests and visitors cruising through the Caribbean. The course was approved and sanctioned by the PGA European Tour to host a PGA Seniors Tournament in 2003 and it has also hosted the Barbados Open on several occasions.

The golf course was reopened in 2000 after a period of reconstruction to the environmentally sensitive design specifications of Ron Kirby, one of the most respected and experienced golf course architects in the world. He redesigned the course to produce a fair, challenging, and pleasurable game for golfers of all levels of skill and competence.

The challenges, rewards, and scenic views of the course encourage players of all abilities to play with determination to hone their skills while enjoying the company of friends amidst tropical surroundings.

Course is well laid out and has loads of space with some nice holes. Greens are in good shape. It is however  a bit tired in places and requires extra ground staff to maintain the rough and semi rough. Club house is basis’ but ok. Food in the mulligans bar is desperately slow.

The reception staff weren’t particularly engaging however the golf club hire and buggy staff were excellent. The Marshall was quite rude on the course. The facilities were adequate but not stunning. Had a burger in the bar that was ok but not the quality I expected. Golf course considering the wet weather (bouts of torrential rain)was in great condition. Even considering the minor negatives mentioned above I would play here again.

Pretty well maintained course, which would need a better drainage. Friendly and welcoming staff, nice restaurant.

in good condition, nice lay out, decent greens a little pricey but its the only course open to the public on the island if you hire a buggy you can fill the attached cool box at the bar a fill it with beer or soft drinks please drink responsibly

Greens were very Sandy and bunkers were not raked or had much sand in them. Front desk staff were a bit aloof to start with. On the plus side though stater was very friendly . Hired clubs were good and generally the courses was in decent shape . The bar was very good and served me a great burger
