Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links is the only beachfront, coastal resort and links golf course in Dublin, Ireland. A classic Links course, the Portmarnock Links encompasses all the characteristics that a golfer seeks when playing Links golf; deep pot bunkers, challenging roughs, and unpredictable coastal wind.

This unique course is a par 71 and measures 7124 yards off the Championship tees. The “signature hole” of the course is the 16th, a par 4 with 419 yards that requires a precise shot from an elevated tee box. This hole has already become part of the dreams of many golfers that have visited Portmarnock and is undeniably one of the most challenging holes on the course.

I do not ever give 10s as the indicates perfection to me and there is always room for improvement. We had an issue as we were not aware that there were two golf courses with similar names and locations. Our GPS took us the old course and caused us to be late. Also I requested a caddy and none was provided.

The course was in fantastic shape, management was extremely hospitable, and the members I played with were welcoming and passionate about the club. I would highly suggest you add this to your itinerary if you’re staying in or around Dublin - you will not be disappointed.

Booked only a few days on a trip into Dublin for St Pats. The place is first class, the people amazingly friendly and the golf was great. Why spend $300 on a course when you can play this one and get all the perks. Play the $300 one tomorrow.
