Bali National Golf Club offers visitors a truly luxurious golfing experience on the renovated golf club that has three distinct playing environments throughout the 18-hole course. The Hawaiian-styled golf course is only a short 20 minute drive through Bali Mandala toll road from Ngurah Rai Bali International Airport. Bali National is located in the Nusa Dua tourism complex. The course also sits alongside three miles of white sand beaches.

The Bali golf course was redesigned in 2013 by the superb Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright. Nelson incorporated Asian culture into the redesign, with hand-laid local stone walls built alongside the fairways and tee boxes. The wall arrangements almost give the perception of being in a typical rice field terrace that fill the majority of the countryside in Indonesia. Holes 1 to 9 feature creeks, canyons, and native vegetation filled with tropical birds, whilst holes 10 to 16 offer the golfer lush, gently sculptured fairways through a mature grove. Finally, Bali National Golf Club’s island green hole 17 and lakeside hole 18 are the finishing holes that challenge every golfer. Spectacular views of the Indian Ocean and the Nusa Dua area treat each player during their round.

The course was awarded ‘Best Renovated Golf Course in Asia 2014,’ ‘3rd Best Renovated Golf Course Worldwide 2015,’ ‘5th Best Golf Resort in Asia Pacific,’ and ‘Best Golf Resort in Indonesia 2017’ by Golf Digest USA.

Great course and great caddy. I was started on hole three but no real inconvenience. Stag were great. Would definitely go again.

Caddies Fifi and Dian were wonderful. I understand why golf carts need to be restricted to cart path but - the cart paths are too far off from center of fairway making it a nuisance and not able to enjoy the beauty of walking up the center of the fairway. Holes 16 and 18 are not up to standard. The caddies should provide a golf towel or have one available on the golf cart.

Greens are definitely not in good condition. Fairways are good, staff are great! I think for the fees charged the green a lot of improvement.

Course in perfect condition. Medium-high difficulty course, if you disperse too much, you lose many balls, given that outside the fairway, they are red stakes. Very nice caddies and if you rent clubs, it is worth paying 5€ more for the premium ones, in my case, they were the Titleist T200. I do not give it a 10, because there were many tourists, the game was a bit slow.

I chose 6 because it was expensive and coming from another country we thought balls and tee would have been included. Directions on what to do when you get there is also not clear. We hired clubs which were also very average condition and no stiff shafts available for me. Course condition was ok however the greens were a little dead or diseased in spots. Caddies were fun and nice but after paying over $3.5m I didn’t expect to have to tip them.
