Centrally located in Ballito and just a 15 minute drive from King Shaka Airport on the North coast of Kwa-zulu Natal, Umhlali Country Club offers a variety of sporting amenities as well as versatile conference and wedding facilities that cater for up to 150 guests.

Customer service in the Pro Shop has always been an issue and nothing has changed. The staff outside are way better at trying to assist golfers visiting. The course was very slow for a Friday afternoon and the course condition was below par. Stunning course and lay out if they can just fix the Pro shop staff and maintain the course better.

Price-performance ratio is very good. Everything well organized. Place well and nicely maintained. Food in the clubhouse was very good. Thank you family Gerlinde and Georg Gartner from Graz in Austria-Europe

Thoroughly enjoyed playing at Umhlali but found some of the hole layouts a bit “strange” in terms of having to hit a layup from the tee in order to avoid trouble before being able to have a go at the green or another pay up on a par 5. Not knowing the course, it took a bit of getting used to. Course conditions were very good though and I will definitely play at Umhlali again to try and beat the course.

Greens were good considering all the rains. Unfortunately the same could not be said for most of the fairways. It would have been better to close the course in these conditions or at least not allow carts to rip everything up. Also don't expect the range to be open to warm up - seems 7:30 is too early for them (and I had a 8:06 tee time). Halfway house staff and bar staff could be taught some lessons in customer service too, instead of shouting at each other in front of them. Looks like a nice track though which I would like to play again.
