Nestled in the Hurricane Valley, acres of desert used for farming generations ago have been transformed into a new resort community featuring 18 holes of championship golf. Copper Rock Golf Course opened to the public in February 2020. The adventurous 7,227-yard layout forges across dunes dotted with native sagebrush against a backdrop of rustic sandstone formations.

The course was designed by a team organized under Gordon Zitting and the Copper Rock Golf Course, LC. Zitting and his family have spent decades in the Hurricane Valley working to bring this project to fruition – and it shows. On every hole, players are treated to sweeping vistas of the grandeur offered by the Pine Valley Mountains, the Hurricane Cliffs, Zion National Park and beyond.

The course was in great shape. The course/clubhouse layout is a bit wonky (having to pass two holes to get to driving range/1st tee and to get back to clubhouse after 18), but still a great experience!

Temporary nature of facilities and poor current layout of club house is confusing. Course is immaculate yet some holes are boring such as the uphill dogleg right and the big lind drop after downhill that is more luck than skill. Seemed overpriced vs other area courses.

Extremely overpriced for what you get  Nobody at bag drop to take clubs out of car Not much of a greeting when checking in.  No complimentary bag tag? Wonky layout to get to driving range and 1st tee No GPS on carts? Nobody to clean clubs after round Layout is average.  Mediocre finishing holes on both sides Very underwhelmed compared to other courses at similar price points

Great layout, except for the really narrow long green par 5 on the front.  Beautiful course, but disappointed in the greens just being aerated and sanded.  A schedule of this should be posted online, or rates slightly discounted.

Nice layout, greens rolled true and pretty fast even after being punched a few days before.

Great course, beautiful. Could use GPS on carts, also a picture/description/tips for each hole on scorecard.

Great course, I tell how nice a course is by tee boxes and these were in very good shape, nice and flat. Well manicured course and staff was knowledgeable and helpful.
