Deep River Golf Club

Designed by Stanley Thompson and built by Howard Watson in 1951, the Deep River Golf Club is a 9 hole club that plays like 18. Four sets of tees to choose from, large sloping greens with wide fairways. Water comes into play on 4 holes. Easy to walk and well maintained, a course worth the drive to play. Home to the men's invite each August with a field of 100 players from the Ottawa valley and beyond, next season 2014 marks the 61st playing of the event. Deep river golf club was the home club for Jon mills as a junior golfer in the late 80s and early 90s. Jon was the Canadian pga champion in 2006. Atomic energy of canada owned the facility until 1999, the membership purchased the club, and is now member owned, board of director run.
