York Golf Club (known locally as "Strensall") is without doubt one of the finest 6,300 yard golf courses in Yorkshire and offers a delightful and scenic challenge to players of all abilities.
The greens are acknowledged as "up there with the best" in providing a beautiful running surface ensuring a well struck putt will run true and straight - and hopefully in the hole if you have picked the right line. The course remains true to J H Taylor's design ethos - stay on the straight and narrow and you will be rewarded, stray from the path and you will be punished - and so can be enjoyed by any golfer no matter what their handicap.
