Doha Golf Club boasts an 18 hole Championship Course, a 9 hole Academy Course, an enourmous driving range and putting green, 8 artificial lakes, graceful landscaping and a beautiful clubhouse designed in old traditional Arabic style, which has been located at one of the highest points on the course giving it a magnificent prominence.

The Academy Course is less demanding and can be played by beginners, ladies and those who want to play a quick nine holes. The fairways are larger, the holes are shorter with less hazards and generally the course will allow the not-so proficient golfer to enjoy the game and the good golfer will have the opportunity to have an enjoyable round during a short break from the office.

At this time of year the heat can turn a course, but the grounds keeper here does a great job. The greens are expected to be “a little patchy”, but overall respectable and the new sand makes a world of difference. Not everyone hits it down the center of the fairway; so once again I don’t understand why the golf carts shuts down while still on the correct hole but in the rough...I mean literally just of the fairway in some cases.

Course itself beautiful. Enjoyed playing there. but: double booked, so we had to start 2,5 hours earlier than our booking. on last 2 holes groundsmen kept on pushing us to hurry up, while we played decent speed. this was because the start of an other event, so they didn't plan us (after rescheduling) properly.

Nice course, well maintained but a bit expensive to play a full game
