Twenty-seven holes of spectacular golf in one fun, family-oriented package. Nestled within Hilton Head’s natural setting of majestic Carolina pine trees, flowering magnolias and moss draped oaks, the Shipyard Golf Club delivers memorable experiences for exceptional value. With plenty of sand and water hazards, the Clipper Course may be the most difficult of the nines. This George W. Cobb design, built in 1970, requires a good long game and a soft touch around the greens. Accurate tee shots and well-measured approaches are a must on this championship course. The greens are large and well-bunkered, and their undulating surfaces demand a delicate, yet determined touch.

The Galleon course was designed by George W. Cobb and built in 1970. These original nine holes of Shipyard Golf Club meander through large oaks and tall pines. Accurate placement of approach shots into heavily guarded greens is necessary on the Galleon course. Accurate tee shots and well-measured approaches are a must on this championship course. The greens are large and well-bunkered, and their undulating surfaces demand a delicate, yet determined touch.

The Brigantine course was designed by Willard C. Byrd and built in 1982. Alligators sun themselves along these scenic, water hazard filled nine holes of the Brigantine course. With slight dog-legs and well-placed bunkers, this course requires shot-making and a good short game. Accurate tee shots and well-measured approaches are a must on this championship course. The greens are large and well-bunkered, and their undulating surfaces demand a delicate, yet determined touch.

Took 6 hours to play a round of golf!  There was an immediate backup on hole 2 and then on #3 with us standing at the tee box and two other groups waiting, ranger came by and said “it should open up after this”.  Never did and never saw a ranger again.  Groups were ridiculously slow and often played multiple shots.
