Set in the heart of Desaru Coast, The Els Club Desaru Coast features 45-holes of golf in total, with two distinct clubs; The Ocean Course, a 27-hole golf course designed by Ernie Els and The Valley Course, an 18-hole golf course designed in collaboration with Els’ long standing friend and major champion, Vijay Singh. The 27-hole championship golf course features three distinct nine-hole courses, being the Lakes, Coast and Ridge. The registration was fast accurate. The changing room excellent. The food a bit pricey. Course condition good but not great. Green a bit sandy but fast. There are water in bunkers !!! A lot of foreign grass on the fairways. Certain parts a bit soggy. No distance markers...

Very well maintained. I was expecting more holes to have an ocean view (since it is called ocean course). There is only one hole with a]ocean view.

Had a great time there! If I'm being nitpicky, 2 things lacking: 1. Fairway & around green area was soggy. Perhaps could be better with better underground drainage. 2. Halfway huts should have more options for refreshment. i.e. more vending machines.
