Keilir Golf Club is a links course with the front nine surrounded by lava and the back nine played on a small peninsula with spectacular views over the Snaefellsjokull glacier, and only 15 minutes from Reykjavik!

There is a vast difference between the front nine and the back nine. The front nine is surrounded by lava, and the back nine is placed on a small peninsula at the entrance into the Hafnarfjordur harbor, with spectacular views to Snaefellsjokull glacier and the Alftanes peninsula. Keilir Golf Course is about skill and accuracy over power and distance, particularly when dealing with the lava field in the front nine!

It was a beautiful day and the course was in wonderful shape. We played with two locals (Sola and Hefe) who were so nice and helped us with course management. We would definitely play again if we had more time.

Great course with 2 completely different nines including unique lava rock front 9 making it very challenging. Super fun course and I payed till midnight in the summer

The course was stunning and in immaculate conditions. The two nines could not have been more different. The front winds amongst the lava rock and offers many blind tee shots and approaches. You generally have much more room to land than it looks, but it is good to learn about the course a bit before playing if you have never played it before. The back 9 was my favorite as it heads out by the sea offering some stunning views and fantastic golf holes. I was not sure what to expect, but this is as good a golf course as there is, and I have played the top 10 courses in Ireland, Northen Ireland, and Scotland as well as many top tracks in the US.

The staff was exceptional, especially Eli, they took a personal interest in my game of golf. Very genuine classy people. Also the course was fabulous, in great shape, and the new holes 16 and 17 were truly amazing.
